PM4 SAP Process Mining by Celonis 4 offers a long list of availble components, that can be used to analyse Data. The following pages will describe each of them, covering their functionality and configuration.

Components are structured within 4 categories:

  • Process Analysis
    Get an overview of your Data by viewing and filtering your whole process model, according to various parameter.
  • Charts And Tables
    Get a quick view on specific dimensions, and choose from various charts, plots and tables.
  • Selection
    Apply a dynamic filter (to specific components or to the whole analysis document) by selecting values out of a data source
  • Design
    Add Buttons, Text Components, or Input Fields to your document, to encourage interactive navigation and dynamic interaction with your Analysis.

To configure components, you will most likely need Dimensions and KPIs. If you have never worked with Dimensions and KPIs, please start reading Handling Dimensions & KPIs.

Add A Component

To add a new component, click on . This will open up the following sidebar on the right side:

Now you can drag & drop your selection to the left side into the analysis sheet grid. As soon as you lift off the mouse, your component will be placed on the cursor position.

After your component has been placed, the configuration settings will pop up on the right side.

Edit An Existing Component

To edit an existing component, right-click on it. The following menu will be displayed next to the component (Please note that the Edit-mode needs to be switched on):

  • Settings: To configure the component, hit Settings. The configuration window will pop up on the right side of your browser window, just as you saw it as you created the component. The settings are described in detail in the following section.
  • Component Filter: You can specify a PQL filter that is always executed on this component.
  • Export: You can export your component as an image, or export the cases and the data seperately. Choose one option, and the file will be created and stored in your local download directory. The following data types are supported: 
    • Images: pdf, png
    • Sheets: pdf, png
    • Data: csv, xlsx
    • Cases: csv, xlsx
      Attention: To export csv- and xlsx-files, you need to enable it in the General Settings.
  • Layers: Here you can switch the layers of the component by either bringing them to the front or the back.
  • Toggle Fullscreen:  With this option, you can maximize the component to fit your whole browser space. This allows you to get a detailed view and to interact very specifically with your component. If you want to quit the fullscreen mode, right click on it and hit Minimize.
  • Copy: To copy the component (within the analysis), click on Copy. To paste it, right-click on an empty space in the Analysis sheet and hit Paste.
  • Delete: Click on Delete to  remove this component from the analysis view. Please note that this will discard the configurations made for this component, too.

To reposition any analysis component, just click&hold the component, move your mouse and place it wherever you want to. To resize the component, hover over the component and use the blue dots at the borders to adjust the size.
